studio Policies
These policies are designed to create a positive, creative, and safe environment for all our young artists. We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to a fun and inspiring art experience!
Drop-Off CLASSES
We support independence, even for our youngest artists. Classes at Corner House Studio are drop off only and we kindly request that parents and caregivers remain outside the studio’s work areas. Our cozy lobby area perfect for a hug and a wave goodbye. If you’d like to stay close by, we encourage parents to take advantage of the nearby coffee shops and restaurants where you can relax.
CLASS Start Time
Our classes begin at the scheduled time, with the first 10-15 minutes focused on the day’s lesson and demonstration. Timely arrival ensures your child gets all the info they need to create something amazing. We appreciate your effort to be on time.
Early Arrival / Late Pick Up
Early Arrival If you happen to arrive a few minutes early you may wait with your child in our lobby area until their class begins. We can not accommodate early drop off.
Late Pick Up Sometimes things happen that can delay your arrival. If pick up happens later than 10 minutes after the end of class a late pickup fee of $10 per 5 minutes will be charged. Please note that late pickup fees are calculated based on the end of the class time.
Missed Classes
Due to the popularity of our classes we can no longer accommodate make ups. If your child misses a class, we will do our best to help them catch up in their next session. However, depending on the lesson of the day, an alternative project may be offered the week following a missed class. Note that we do not offer refunds for missed classes.
Health and Safety
If your child isn’t feeling well, please keep them home to rest and recover. This will help ensure the health and safety of our community and staff.
Dress for the Mess
Art can be messy! We provide smocks, but it’s a good idea to dress your child in clothes that can handle potential spills or stains.
Behavior Expectations
Kindness and Respect
In our studio, kindness and respect are at the heart of everything we do. We expect everyone—children and adults alike—to treat each other with kindness and consideration. Artists are also expected to respect our shared studio space by using materials appropriately and being mindful of their classmates and their artwork at all times. Together, we create a positive and supportive environment for creativity to thrive.
Safety
The safety and well-being of our students are our top priorities. Artists are expected to move with calm bodies and be aware of their surroundings. Any behavior that threatens the safety of others, such as hitting, kicking, pushing, or other aggressive actions, will not be tolerated. We are committed to maintaining a safe space where all students can explore their creativity with confidence.
Registration Cancelation
If you signed up for a class series or camp and need to cancel for any reason we can offer a full refund up to 7 days before the start of the class or camp session. If cancellation occurs less than one week before the start date of the class, we are unable to offer a refund.
REFUNDS FOR Canceled Classes
We are committed to keeping you informed and do our absolute best to minimize disruptions. In the rare event that Corner House Studio must cancel a class due to illness, facility issues, or low enrollment, we will automatically issue full refunds for the affected class or series.
MEDIA RELEASE
We love sharing our artists' work! Registration for classes, camps, or workshops grants permission for Corner House Studio to use any pictures or video recordings taken during classes for marketing and or promotional purposes for the art programs. If you do not wish to have photos or videos taken of you or your child you please notify us upon registration.
